Our recently completed industrial roof refurbishment project in Aberdeen is an excellent example of how careful planning, quality management and clear communication contribute to delivering a successful outcome for our client.
Following the purchase of a newly acquired industrial facility, our client required multiple ageing asbestos cement roofs and a deteriorated flat roof to be refurbished quickly, safely and with minimal disruption.
After assessing the condition of the buildings, a metal roof overcladding solution was selected for the asbestos cement roofs. This approach safely encapsulated the existing roof while providing a modern, weatherproof roofing system without the delays associated with full roof removal.
The flat roof was refurbished by removing the existing stone chippings before installing a new 4mm mineral felt waterproofing system, extending the roof’s service life and restoring its weatherproof performance.
Throughout the project, every stage of the installation was completed in accordance with the relevant manufacturers’ installation guidelines.
Quality control inspections were carried out throughout the works, with final quality assurance inspections completed before handover to ensure the highest standards of workmanship were achieved.
All project documentation, progress photographs, quality records and site information were managed through our online operating system, giving the client complete visibility throughout the project.
