Following a detailed survey, several options were considered, including ongoing repairs, complete roof replacement and a metal roof overcladding system. After reviewing the costs, programme and long-term benefits, the client chose to encapsulate the existing roof with a new insulated metal roof cladding system.
The refurbishment included:
• Installation of a new insulated metal roof overclad system.
• Replacement of the existing rooflights before the new roof installation.
• Additional insulation to improve thermal performance and reduce heat loss.
• New internal gutter lining systems to improve drainage and provide long-term weather protection.
• Replacement of the existing metal wall cladding to modernise the appearance of the building.
Every element of the project was installed in accordance with the manufacturers’ installation specifications and recommendations. Throughout the installation, our team carried out quality control inspections before undertaking a final inspection on completion, ensuring the finished project met both the manufacturers’ requirements and our own high standards.
